The successful candidate will be a team player and self-starter, capable of multi-tasking, meeting deadlines, and managing, developing, and motivating team members.
Effective communication skills across all organizational levels are essential.
The role involves leading and managing maintenance teams and other duties as assigned.
This is a key leadership opportunity for an ambitious, high-performing individual within Dublin Stations.
Key Responsibilities The responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Ensuring staff and contractor safety through compliance with safety systems, permits to work, risk assessments, and authorized safety roles.Prioritizing, scheduling, and coordinating planned and reactive maintenance to ensure business continuity.Procurement of key services and components.Supervising maintenance teams and managing personnel issues.Managing contractors and contracts.Supporting station projects and improvement initiatives, including LTAP, process safety, and stores management.Liaising with other departments and ESB specialists to ensure compliance with standards.Experience and Qualifications Strong safety focus and knowledge of safe work practices.A craft qualification or relevant experience in a mechanical field.Ability to promote safety culture.Experience in power station maintenance or similar heavy process industries.Leadership and team-building skills with supervisory experience.Experience with Work Management Systems and Contractor Management.Knowledge of SAP and purchasing systems.Understanding of safe systems of work, permitting, and isolating processes.Safety and Project Management qualifications.All successful candidates will undergo a training program to attain full competencies within two years, maintained through ongoing personal development.
Location This role is based at Dublin Stations (Poolbeg and Dublin Bay Power Plants).
Reporting to The Maintenance Manager or designated manager at Dublin Stations.
