The Autonomous Enterprise and Wafer Fab Sustainability team are seeking a talented, dedicated and multidisciplined Mechatronics Technician to join our team to support the automation of our semiconductor wafer fabrication facility.
Your mission will be to assist in the development, build and maintenance of the next generation of physical automation platforms including 6-axis robots, autonomous mobile robots, automated overhead transport, and storage/retrieval systems.
You will work closely with internal teams and utilise your technical skills to build and maintain automation solutions that integrate mechanical, electrical, and control systems.

Responsibilities and Expectations Build, wire and install and maintain the high-technology autonomous robotic and engineering systems which are in developmentDevelop preventive maintenance schedules and perform regular maintenance checks to ensure optimal performance of all automation platformsDiagnose and repair any malfunctions or operational issues in robotic systemsProgram and calibrate robotic systems to meet specific operational requirementsAdjust settings to improve efficiency and accuracyConduct performance tests to ensure systems meet quality standards.Implement improvements based on test results and feedback.Maintain detailed records of maintenance, repairs, and system configurations.Document procedures and protocols for future referenceProvide technical support and troubleshooting assistance.Adhere to safety standards and protocols when working with automation systems.Propose and implement innovative solutions to enhance system performanceApply your skills and creativityto exceed the job's expectations and duties, introducing new ideas, innovations and improvements which will positively impact our automation missionSkills Technical Expertise in electrical, mechanical and computer systemsAbility to wire control panels accurately and safelyAbility to troubleshoot complex issuesMeticulous approach to maintenance and repair tasksFlexibility to work with various types of automation platformsWillingness to learn and adapt to new technologiesWork collaboratively with engineering and operations teamsVerbal and written communication skills.Exhibit a continuous improvement mindset.Contribute to a positive and productive work environmentQualifications & Related Experience Level 7 in Mechatronics, Robotics, Automation, Electrical or related fieldExperience in Maintenance of physical equipmentExperience of Industrial automation is desirable (e.g.
