Our Shannon-based client is a progressive precision component manufacturer, utilizing modern CNC equipment to produce high-quality components for the aerospace and medical device industries worldwide. Due to continued expansion and a growing customer portfolio, they now have an exciting opportunity for motivated individuals to join their CNC Turning Department. This is a permanent position with the opportunity for progression and development within a growing company. Responsibilities: Create and manage load capacity to accommodate spike requirements. Analyze all part drawings and determine the appropriate machining processes. Set up and program 3, 4, and 5-axis CNC machines. Work to increase capacity when needed across all aspects of post-processing. Experience with Doosan, Mori Seiki, Okuma, and/or Huron milling machines. Manage the demanding task of fast-turnaround, short lead-time work. Apply structured problem-solving techniques to determine root causes and implement countermeasures. Initiate Kaizens and maintain the program across the department. Have a strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). A solid understanding of inspection methods. Enhance overall efficiency and effectiveness of the team and equipment. Improve process flow and productivity. Establish and maintain effective training programs, including documented procedures, visual work instructions, and individual employee schedules. Ensure health & safety responsibilities are met across all areas. Support commercial activities in collaboration with the sales team. Manage all post-build processing and finishing activities. Ensure that quality levels are maintained, and corrective actions are analyzed and implemented. About You: 5+ years of manufacturing management experience. 5+ years of supervisory or personnel management experience. Experience in aerospace, automotive, or medical industries is a plus.
