Enquiring Minds Childcare is a play-based, Reggio Emilia-inspired crèche, preschool, and afterschool service with branches in Clane, Johnstown, and Prosperous.We are committed to providing high-quality care and education in a warm, inclusive, and supportive environment.We are now seeking a Deputy Manager for our Prosperous branch to support the day-to-day operations of the centre, ensuring the highest standards of care, compliance, and teamwork.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the Centre Manager in all aspects of daily operations, acting as Manager in their absence.Ensure compliance with Tusla Early Years Regulations, Core Funding, ECCE, NCS, AIM, and all other legislative and quality standards.Supervise and mentor staff, including daily room support, training, and annual reviews.Assist with staff rosters, attendance, and ensuring ratios are maintained.Support curriculum planning and implementation, ensuring a child-led, play-based, and inclusive learning environment.Promote child welfare and safeguarding, following all policies and procedures.Assist with communication to parents, meetings, and building strong partnerships with families.Ensure all health and safety, hygiene, and risk management requirements are followed across the centre.Contribute to events, team building, and continuous improvement of the service.RequirementsMinimum QQI Level 7 in Early Childhood Care and Education or DCYA recognised equivalent.Minimum of 5 years' experience in an early years setting, with at least 2 year in a leadership/supervisory role.Strong knowledge of Tusla regulations, Aistear, Síolta, and play-based practice.Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills.Ability to work well as part of a team and support others in a busy environment.A genuine passion for working with children and families.BenefitsOngoing training and professional development opportunities.Supportive management team and collaborative working environment.Staff appreciation events and wellbeing supports.Opportunities for career progression within Enquiring Minds Childcare.Job Type: Full-timePay: €*****-€***** per hourExpected hours: ******* per weekBenefits:ChildcareCompany pensionEmployee discountAbility to commute/relocate:Kildare, CO.Kildare: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)Education:Bachelor's (required)Location:Kildare, CO.Kildare (preferred)Work Location: In person
