Are you looking for a unique opportunity to be a part of something great?Want to join a 20,000-member team that works on the technology that powers the world around us?Looking for an atmosphere of trust, empowerment, respect, diversity, and communication?How about an opportunity to own a piece of a multi-billion dollar (with a B) global organization?We offer all that and more at Microchip Technology, Inc.People come to work at Microchip because we help design the technology that runs the world.They stay because our culture supports their growth and stability.They are challenged and driven by an incredible array of products and solutions with unlimited career potential.Microchip's nationally-recognized Leadership Passage Programs support career growth where we proudly enroll over a thousand people annually.We take pride in our commitment to employee development, values-based decision making, and strong sense of community, driven by our Vision, Mission, and 11 Guiding Values; we affectionately refer to it as theAggregate Systemand it's won us countless awards for diversity and workplace excellence.Our company is built by dedicated team players who love to challenge the status quo; we did not achieve record revenue and over 30 years of quarterly profitability without a great team dedicated to empowering innovation.People like you.Visit our careers page to see what exciting opportunities and company perks awaitJob DescriptionThe successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and continuous improvement of automated and high-speed production and processing for the Ennis site.The individual will assist production operations to achieve throughputs and support relevant engineering requirements.Functions will include: electro-mechanical maintenance, automatic equipment setups, equipment repairs, circuit board repair and preventive maintenance.The successful candidate will also be required to perform equipment modification projects, facilities maintenance, mechanical maintenance of automatic test and branding equipment, electronic test systems, mechanical issues with a supporting role on machine electrical systems i.e. sensors, motor controllers, heaters, dryers and pneumatics, PLC's and automation.Main Duties & ResponsibilitiesPerform routine preventive maintenance on all equipment and maintain documentation records.Responsible for quality mechanical and electronic repairs and provision of electro-mechanical support to all Microchip production equipment.Take responsibility for product changeovers on different types of semiconductor automatic test, handling and branding equipment to ensure minimum downtime.Ensure critical spares are maintained where necessary.Proactively identify and remedy equipment when necessary to ensure appropriate yields and throughputs are achieved.Collaborate and problem solve, troubleshoot with production and engineering to prevent issues.Perform mechanical repairs on automatic testers and handlers.Perform electronic repairs on test equipment and circuit board repair down to component level.Maintenance and upkeep of Automatic Test/Component Handling Equipment.Contribute to the smooth running of production at all times and liaise with Production personnel with respect to their requirements.Assist in the purchase, installation and commissioning of new plant equipment.Perform basic maintenance on facilities issues as required.Maintain good housekeeping standards (5S) in all areas.Perform all duties in accordance with current safety regulations.Perform other duties or tasks as assigned or required from time to time.Requirements/QualificationsMinimum of 2 years' experience as an equipment/machine electro-mechanical maintenance technician, in a high-volume manufacturing environment.At least a Certificate or Diploma in an electro mechanical related field.Proven work experience demonstrating the ability to read electrical schematics/mechanical drawings, work from blueprints, drawings and/or rough sketches.Flexible work attitude.Excellent Communications Skills.Proficiency in the use of Microsoft product suite is desirable.Experience working with CE marking equipment desirable.Additional InformationSwing shift- Week of days followed by a week of evenings.Day shift hours: Monday – Thursday 8am -4.30pm.Friday 8am – 3.30pm.Evening shift hours: Monday – Thursday 4pm -12am.Friday 3pm – 10pm.Travel TimeNo TravelTo all recruitment agencies:Microchip Technology Inc.does notaccept unsolicited agency resumes.Please do not forward resumes to our recruiting team or other Microchip employees.Microchip is not responsible for any fees related to unsolicited resumes.
