Part Qualified Accountant

Opportunity for a Part -Qualified Accountant to join a highly successful Irish manufacturing business in Longford. This is a permanent position offering hybrid working after training period. Accountant Responsibilities: Assist in the timely and accurate preparation of management accounts. Manage, control, and report on monthly cost centers, providing commentary on variances. Conduct weekly analysis on labor costs, efficiencies, energy consumption, and engineering expenditures. Analyze conversion gains/losses against standard product costs and operational metrics to discern key drivers. Establish standard costings in accordance with company policy. Audit stock management processes to maintain a high level of accuracy in both quantity and value. Prepare balance sheet reconciliations. Identify opportunities for cost optimization and operational effectiveness. Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of policies, procedures, and systems. Act as a representative for Finance on project teams. Requirements: Possession of or progress towards a professional accounting qualification. 2-3 years of demonstrated relevant experience ideally in a manufacturing setting. Proficient understanding of cost allocation, product costing, and reporting. Experience with fully integrated ERP systems, preferably SAP.
