MWeds connects job-seekers with partner employers.Job DescriptionJob Title: Bovine EmbryologistEmployer: ELITE LIVESTOCK GENETICS LIMITED T/A Animal Breeding IrelandLocation: AB Ireland, Fivemilebridge, Ballinhassig, Co.Cork - T12 C83HSalary: €34,882 per yearHours of Work: 40 hours per weekAbout AB Ireland: AB Ireland is Ireland's only commercial Bovine IVP (in vitro production) laboratory, offering advanced reproductive technologies to support the country's leading cattle breeders.Established in ****, we work with pedigree beef and dairy clients across Ireland and Northern Ireland.As a leader in bovine reproductive technology, we are committed to innovation, quality, and delivering results for our clients.Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Bovine Embryologist to join our small team in Cork.This role involves hands-on work in the in vitro embryo production (IVP) process, contributing to oocyte processing, IVF, IVC, embryo grading, and cryopreservation.The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced, client-focused environment and contribute to continuous improvement and scientific excellence within the lab.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform all aspects of the IVP workflow including: oocyte identification and processingEmbryo culture (IVC)Embryo evaluation and grading (Day 6 & Day 7)Vitrification and thawingMaintain accurate and detailed records of all lab procedures and outcomesEnsure high standards of biosecurity, cleanliness, and lab safety at all timesMaintain equipment, consumables and stockCollaborate with the wider team on the process and progress (scheduling, quality control, and client reporting)Assist in the development and validation of new protocols and technologiesCommunicate effectively with the teamMaintain compliance with EU regulations and lab accreditation standardsRequirementsBSc or higher in Animal Science, Veterinary Science, Reproductive Biology, or a related fieldExperience working in a bovine IVF/IVP or reproductive lab environmentStrong practical skills in embryo handling, grading, and cryopreservationSkilled in semen handling and analysisHigh attention to detail and commitment to lab protocol and data integrityExcellent communication and teamwork skillsFlexibility to work variable hours, including early mornings and occasional weekends#J-*****-Ljbffr
