ContextA unique opportunity to join our thriving Transport Planning team in either our Dublin or Cork offices as an Associate Director, becoming a leading part of the continued growth during this exciting period for Transport Infrastructure investment in Ireland under the £22bn National Development Plan.
If you have a strong background of rail and/or road scheme appraisal and planning with strong client and cross-discipline stakeholder engagement kills and the passion to develop those around you, then we'd love to hear from you.
Missions/Main DutiesAppraisal, report writing, impact assessment and master planning for public transport projects and local transport plans including rail and roadLeading guidance of subconsultants and joint venture partnersProject management and commercial responsibility of complex high value proposalsEnsure successful project delivery to time, cost, quality across multidisciplinary teamsIdentify, develop and maintain relationships with main client contacts, including presenting and high-level engagementProvide support in achieving the targets for work winning and delivery through bid writing and client engagementWork with clients to understand ultimate objectives and desired outcomes for each projectEnsure the effectiveness of our solution in meeting the client's evaluation criteria, supporting future design through technical reportsEnsure that the acceptance criteria in the proposal are clearSupport/mentor less experienced project/proposal managersIntroduce the latest techniques and be recognised as an expert both internally and externallyConsider demand management – carbon reduction and behaviour changeRaise the profile of SYSTRA by writing articles or delivering papers at conferencesUndertake technical training, and lead innovation initiativesEncourage interaction and cross-fertilisation of knowledge between technical staffProfile/SkillsDegree qualification in a relevant subject, ideally Economics or Civil EngineeringSignificant depth of Transport planning experience for complex infrastructure projects, including appraisals, technical report writing, master planning and demand managementDepth of project management experienceFamiliarity with Transport Modelling would be an advantageStrong numerical and Excel skillsExperience and passion for mentoring and growing less experienced team membersLeading multidisciplinary teamsBehaviours:
