Company DescriptionEstablished in ****, SDS are an award-winning design focused civil, structural, geotechnical and water engineering practice.Our highly skilled and experienced design team has extensive experience in design and build contracts including design services and are fully competent with the most up to date software.Our clients are in public and private sectors, including government bodies, developers, main contractors and owners.Role DescriptionThe Water Project Engineer will be involved with the Design aspects of the water projects and be responsible for managing projects from Design Stage to project completion.The role involves assessing existing water schemes, preparing preliminary and design reports, liaising with stakeholders, and producing detailed design and tender documentation.The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects and contractors efficiently.Main Responsibilities:Co-ordination and working alongside Design Manager to produce Contract Documentation.Manage/control the project Contractors to ensure the works are carried out to the contract requirements and specifications.Collect detailed information on consumer numbers, types and locations associated with the water Distribution mains network.Obtain information on the existing Water Mains distribution networks, including fitting locations, locations of mains, mains sizes, fitting locations and types of fittings.Obtain information on sources of supply, reservoirs and mains Booster Stations.Consult with relevant authorities and Utility companies, Archaeologists and Environmental consultants to identify potential issues along proposed water mains routes.Compile full tender documentation based on completed design drawings.Schedule projects to tight deadlines and deliver projects on timeQualificationsWe're looking for someone who is passionate about furthering their career and gain invaluable experience within a friendly working environment.Degree qualified in Civil EngineeringA Master's degree would be beneficial but not essential.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work in a highly regulated and quality-focused environment.A proactive approach to solving problems with an ability to adapt to changing scenariosAttention to detail and strong analytical skills.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.Ability to work independently and collaboratively with teams and external stakeholders.Control of contractors in meeting design requirementsUnderstanding of CESMMUnderstanding of Public Works ContractsBenefits:Flexibility of working hoursPositive working environmentVariety of projectsSocial Committee eventsAnnual Leave increases with years of serviceCycle to Work SchemePaid Professional MembershipsQEHS MS ResponsibilitiesComply with SDS Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety (QEHS) Management System requirements, i.e. perform work according to process documents and procedures, and maintain document information/complete department forms/records as required.Understand and apply the SDS Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety policy statements in all aspects of work.Contribute towards achieving company's SDS QEHS objectives.Ensure that the needs and requirements of the company's internal staff and customers are understood and delivered.Help develop and improve the company's internal processes and management system by reporting corrective actions, updates and improvement ideas.The above statements are intended to describe the essential responsibilities of persons assigned to this role.They are not intended as an exhaustive list of all duties, responsibilities, or requirements.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: €45,******-€60,****** per yearBenefits:On-site parkingEducation:Bachelor's (required)Language:Fluent English (required)Licence/Certification:Full Drivers License (required)Work Location: In person
