Company DescriptionEgis is a leading global architectural, consulting, construction engineering, operations and maintenance services firm.We create and operate intelligent infrastructure and buildings that both respond to the climate emergency and contribute to balanced, sustainable and resilient development.Egis has operated in Ireland since **** and is one of the largest multi-disciplinary consultancy, engineering and operations firms in the country.Our services span the full lifespan of infrastructure, from upstream feasibility studies through design, construction supervision, delivery and operations.Our current activities in Ireland include operating the Dublin Tunnel and the Jack Lynch Tunnel in Cork, overseeing 470km of Ireland's motorways and working on the design and delivery of major transport projects and mobility services.With over 600 staff in Ireland across 16 offices nationwide, we are committed to enabling sustainable economic development and addressing climate change and reducing carbon emissions.In ****, Egis acquired JB Barry & Partners.Our Egis Engineering division is now almost 200 people strong across four offices in Dublin, Castlebar, Cork and Limerick.A career with us can lead to opportunities to travel and experience some of our work in over 100 countries.Job DescriptionYour responsibilities will include but not be limited to:Review signalling design work within a railway environment.Managing signalling preliminary, intermediate and detailed design reviews for signalling discipline to ensure compliance with the project specifications.Maintain and update the Requirements, develop the plans and procedures for signalling discipline.Serve as technical expert to take signalling related decisions, review design proposals for technical solutions, make recommendations, resolve technical clashes, etc.Review signalling design deliverable packages including drawings and other items.Prepare signalling specifications for both preliminary and detailed designs.Prepare procurement specifications to support new and modified designs.Maintain a good understanding of Egis business standards of safety, quality and design.QualificationsUniversity degree at minimum Bachelors level of a recognized Electrical/Electronic Engineering Faculty, or Chartered Engineer status.General overall experience of at least 5 - 10 years in railway signalling.Experience in signalling for main line / commuter rail projects.ETCS and brownfield experience are advantageous.Proven experience in technical design for a rail environment with appropriate experience in a project driven organization, infrastructure environment.Excellent communication skills and capacity to develop good relations at work and fluent in EnglishExperience working in a technical environment as part of a team is required.Determined to act in a responsible way in business activities as well as in social and environmental impact.Additional InformationEquality, Diversity and InclusionEgis is an equal opportunities employer who recognises the value of having a diverse workforce.Your application will be assessed based purely on your skills and experience, the stated essential and desirable criteria, and your suitability for the role.Seniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionOtherIndustriesCivil EngineeringReferrals increase your chances of interviewing at Egis by 2x#J-*****-Ljbffr
