LotusWorks is an Engineering Services provider specializing in managing Commissioning, Construction Services, Calibration, Operations & Maintenance scopes of work within global manufacturing facilities.LotusWorks operates globally across EMEA and North America partnering with the world's leading manufacturers across the Semiconductor, Pharmaceutical & Biologics, Medical Device and Data Centre sectors.Our team of Engineering and Technical professionals is immersed in cutting-edge technologies and innovations.LotusWorks is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace, integral to our people-first approach.The Software Engineer II will assist the Equipment Engineering department to develop new manufacturing and test equipment and systems used in the development and production of medical devices.Independently or as member of a team; develops specifications, designs, plans and develops complex manufacturing and test equipment.A professional with a complete understanding and wide application of principle, theories, and concepts in the field.Applies a full understanding of area of specialization to resolve a wide range of issues in creative ways.General knowledge of other related disciplines, business unit function and cross group dependencies/relationships.Responsibilities:Develop robust, flexible, reusable, efficient and scalable manufacturing applications.Database design, development, monitoring and SQL script authoring.Work closely with customers in defining system requirements and propose creative and cost effective solutions for new and upgraded equipment.Contribute to all phases of software development including design, implementation, unit test, integration, release, and validation support.Generates quotations, concepts and business cases for new and upgrade equipment.Commission, test, troubleshoot and support existing and new manufacturing equipment.Build Quality into all aspects of work by maintaining compliance to all quality requirements.Providing technical leadership on equipment related product and process issues.Proactively drive innovation and integration of new technologies into development strategies for the software team.Ensure equipment solutions are delivered within planned schedules and within budget.Participates in the development of less experienced staff by setting an example, providing guidance, and offering counsel.Any other duties or responsibilities that may be assigned to you in your roleSkills Required:Minimum of 3-5 years in software development with experience and a thorough knowledge in the following: VB.Net, C#, VB 6.Understanding of data modelling and storage with relational databases (preferably SQL).Understanding of software integration with manufacturing equipment with protocols such as OPC, UPC-UA, TCP/IP, HTTP.Excellent communication skills combined with an imaginative and creative approach to problem solving.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with good multitasking and prioritization skills.Works under general direction regarding the direction and progress of projects and special assignments.Independently determines and develops approach to solutions.Good working knowledge on the use of vision systems and associated tools desirable.Working knowledge of Team Foundation server and associated build processes.Experience in a regulated environment with 21CFR Part 11 experience an advantage.Education / Licenses / Certifications:BSc/MSc degree or equivalent in Computer Engineering or related discipline.Proof of education, licenses, and certifications will be required where applicableLife AssurancePension ContributionTraining And Educational AssistanceAnnual GP Check-UpRecognition RewardsLotusWorks is an equal opportunity employer and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any kind.We are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace where all employees feel valued, respected, and empowered.#J-*****-Ljbffr
