Facilities Project Engineer - HVAC - Limerick, Ireland - 12-Month Contract
Ireland is currently active in the Life Sciences Sector, with global companies establishing and expanding manufacturing facilities across the country.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to work via Quanta on the client's side for a global Pharmaceutical organization on a major expansion project based in the picturesque Munster region of Ireland.
Located just 20 minutes from the nearest international airport, the manufacturing site is accessible for those wishing to commute to/from Ireland for a contract position.
The role requires on-site presence 5 days a week, Monday to Friday, working 45 hours.
Role Summary:
Designs and specifies cGMP clean/grey utilities, HVAC equipment, piping, ducting, and controls.
Manages small to mid-sized projects related to utilities and HVAC equipment and services.
Conducts troubleshooting for complex plant equipment issues and associated systems, recommending corrective actions.
Assists in design review, site acceptance, and installation of equipment.
Supports QA Validation department by preparing design documents and assisting in protocol execution.
Investigates utility system and control system anomalies, as well as safety incidents.
Implements corrective and preventative actions for existing equipment and maintenance processes.
Prepares engineering evaluations and test plans, and executes modification change control documentation.
Interprets P&IDs, equipment/system layouts, wiring diagrams, and specifications for maintenance and repairs.
May supervise mechanical, electrical, and automation contractors.
Maintains a clean and safe working environment by enforcing procedures, policies, and regulations.
Ensures compliance with all relevant laws, policies, and regulations to uphold the company's reputation.
Must Have's to successfully fill this position:
Requires Level 8 or higher in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, with 3+ years of experience preferred.
Direct experience with Utilities systems (clean/grey) and HVAC is preferred.
