An Animal Care Assistants is required for our Greayabbey Vet Clinic now part of the Village Vets Family.Village Vets Mission:Making lives better through excellence in veterinary care while truly caring for the best interests of our patients, customers and colleagues.We operate to a very high standard of Veterinary Medicine and the practice is fully equipped with excellent surgical, diagnostic, and medical equipment:Our ideal candidate would be experienced working in small animal practice and be highly motivated, hard-working, and a team player.This is a role is working alongside and supporting our team of vets & nurses looking after the patients in the wards & also before & after surgery.In Village Vets, we strive to provide the best standard of care to our patients and the best service to our clients.We are proud to support our staff and encourage any interest in further education.Duties:Assist the veterinary surgeon and veterinary nurse in their day to day duties.Assist the nurse & care for patients and inpatients in our care to the standard upheld by Village Vets.Undertake general cleaning duties throughout the clinic including equipment, animal quarters to a level acceptable to the Village Vets standards.Run routine lab work under the direction of the veterinary nurse.Assist with front of house duties & understand procedures involved in maintaining an efficient friendly reception.Promote the Pet Health Plans and Pet Insurance to all clients to facilitate the highest level of veterinary care.Carry out any ad hoc Veterinary or administrative duties that may arise through the normal course of the day within the clinic or as advised by head nurse/area manager.Complete all tasks, duties and procedures efficiently and accurately.Be responsible for creating and maintaining an outstanding client experience throughout the whole team.This role is a full time contract based on 40 hours per week.We do not have any out of hours service during the week or weekends.Employee benefits include:Health care plan, or a private health insurance contributionLength of service holidaysGym membership contributionDiscounts on retail & leisureCharity paid leaveFree pet care planJoining our Street Vets TeamBike to work schemeAnnual pay reviewsExtensive CPD programme & certificate fundingPlease apply below with CV.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: From €28,****** per yearBenefits:Bike to work schemeCompany eventsEmployee assistance programGym membershipPrivate medical insuranceStore discountAbility to commute/relocate:CO.Kildare: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)Application question(s):Have completed an animal care course.Have you worked in a Veterinary clinic before?Experience:Animal Care: 1 year (required)Work authorisation:Ireland (required)Work Location: In person
