Yard / Warehouse Operative

We now have a number of job opportunities in our Fuel and Garden Centre based between Maynooth & Straffan.We are looking for hardworking, positive individuals to join our growing team in the running of the yard, warehouse and retail store.The right individual's must consider themselves to be very strong forklift operators and also hold a valid B license so they can cover drivers holidays when needed.Forklift license is an advantage.As we deal in the retail sector it is imperative that any potential candidate for this role constantly shows a good attitude, good manners, politeness and is an honest, trustworthy person.This is also important when in a driver role as most deliveries are to people's homes so we need to know our customers feel comfortable when we are sending a delivery to them.We have a lot of repeat customers and we consider all of our staff to be the friendly face of the company.These customers will get to know you over time so it always important for them to know they have a friendly person arriving to their door or they are arriving into a friendly yard.In the winter months the worse the weather is the busier we are so the right candidate must be willing to work in cold and wet weather.This job is physically demanding so a lot of energy is required at all times.We need someone who enjoys working with a team and also would like to grow within the company over time as we are constantly expanding and want our staff to join us on this journey.Working Hours: 5 days a week/ 42 hours.Working week would be Wednesday to Sunday.Wednesday to Friday 10am-7pm,Saturday 9am-6pm,Sunday *****am-5.30pm,DUTIES & REQUIREMENTS:Responsible for the upkeep and organisation of the yard, warehouse & retail area.Receive and check in deliveries from suppliers & transport companies noting any discrepancies.Ensure that the Yard, warehouse & retail area is continuously kept tidy at all times, that stock is clearly identifiable and stock levels are maintained and restocked from warehouse to retail area.Responsible for loading and offloading of inbound, outbound and company vehiclesResponsible for dealing with retail customers and loading their vehicles with their purchases and ordersPrevious experience in yard or warehouse is requiredFork-lift experience essentialIt is essential that applicants are physically fit as lifting is involvedPrevious customer service experienceDrivers must be over 25 years of age (due to insurance)Previous experience driving and delivering essentialPrevious experience using a tail lift truck preferred but not essentialWork and communicate as a team member to ensure the warehouse operates efficiently and effectivelyPerform any other duties as may be deemed necessary or as may be required by the company.A good, positive attitude is a must (Please do not apply if you do not enjoy working as our company is constantly growing and with that we need people who want to grow with us)Monahan's Fuels & Garden Centre,Straffan Road, Barberstown Maynooth, Co.Kildare, W23D586Job Types: Full-time, PermanentJob Type: Full-timeBenefits:Employee discountOn-site parkingStore discountAbility to commute/relocate:Straffan Road, Maynooth, CO.Kildare W23D586: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)Experience:Warehouse: 1 year (preferred)Work Location: In person
