Ballymaloe Foods are seeking to hire a Production Supervisor for our growing food business in Cork.The Production Supervisor will be responsible for coordinating the staff and manufacturing activities of the business working to our company values of high standards, Ballymaloe warmth and dedication.Duties and Responsibilities:Supervise all manufacturing related activities, ensuring production is run in a smooth and efficient manner with consideration to yields, quality, safety, machinery etc.Ensure the correct preparation, packing and labelling of products to meet customer specificationsUnderstand every aspect of the manufacturing process and make improvements where that opportunity existsMinimise levels of rework and reject materials wastageEnsure compliance with all health and safety requirements.Ensure compliance with all food safety and quality requirements.Maintain a clean and neat working environmentEnsure a positive employee working environment exists on the production floorRecognise and provide training, and promote continuous development to all operatorsPromote recycling, landfill waste reduction, water and energy saving and other environmentally friendly initiatives.Participate in and ensure accurate end of month stock taking.Foster open honest and kind communication and co-operation with all other departmentsPerform other duties as necessary to ensure an efficiently run operation and facilityThe Person:The person who will succeed well in this role will be:· Organised· An excellent communicator· Observant of detail· Progressive· Have good ability with IT software· Energetic attitude for a well run productionQualifications & Experience:· 3rd level qualification in an Engineering/Science/Food related discipline.· Experience/knowledge of the Food industry.· Minimum of 3 years manufacturing management experience in the Food industry of equivalent experience.· Knowledge of Food Safety Management Systems e.g. BRCBallymaloe Foods is an Equal Opportunities EmployerJob Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: €45,******-€55,****** per yearBenefits:Company pensionOn-site parkingSick payWellness programAbility to commute/relocate:Little Island, CO.Cork: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)Application question(s):What interests you to apply for this role?Experience:Food manufacturing: 3 years (preferred)Language:English (required)Work Location: In personReference ID: Plant and production Manager
