I am working with a company to hire a Bookkeeper for their Dublin 18 office.
This is a permanent and role is office based.
Candidates must have 1+ years experience in a similar role in ROI and an EU Passport or a valid Stamp 4 Visa.
Job Purpose: We are looking for a dedicated and detail-orientedBookkeeperto join our finance team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing day-to-day transactions, and supporting key finance operations in line with Irish accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities: Maintain accurate books and records including general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivableProcess supplier and customer invoicesManage bank reconciliations and cash flow monitoringPrepare and file VAT returns and other Revenue submissions (e.g., PAYE, RCT if applicable)Support payroll processes and record employee expensesAssist in the preparation of monthly accounts and financial reportsLiaise with external accountants, Revenue, and other relevant parties as neededEnsure compliance with all relevant Irish tax and financial regulationsProvide ad hoc financial administration support to the wider teamRequirements: Essential: Proven experience in a bookkeeping or accounting roleWorking knowledge of Irish tax systems including VAT and PAYEStrong Excel and general IT skillsExcellent attention to detail and strong organisational skillsAbility to work independently and manage deadlinesDesirable: Accounting Technician (ATI) or part-qualified accountant (ACCA, CPA, etc.
