We are looking for a Senior Product Development Engineer for a Medical Device Company in Galway.Key Responsibilities:As an engineer you will actively participate in all areas of new product development including the following: Design, Technology development & advancement, Automation, Vendor management & Project management.You will use Design, Reliability & Manufacturability methodology (DRM), and 3-D drawing to develop best in class technologies, equipment, and processes for the manufacture of our new medical device product ranges.You will collaborate with cross functional teams to define, execute, and deliver on New Product Development requirements.You will support teams driving technology process innovation with emphasis on improving quality, technical rigor and developing state of the art automated and semi-automated systems.You will support process development, characterization, and validation activities to support new product introduction.You will utilize your new and existing skillsets in six sigma tools, project management and technology development to solve technical problems.You will compile, document, and present all learnings to project and functional teams e.g., Technical Reviews, Design Reviews, Project Dashboards.Experience and Qualifications:Level 8 Degree, or higher in Electronic, Electrical, Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering or related discipline, with a minimum of 4 years relevant direct engineering experience within a medical device environment.Dynamic team player that can work effectively and proactively on cross- functional teams, and across organizational boundaries and take appropriate actions when problems occur.Knowledge of medical device processes with a good understanding of product and process design.What's on offer?An initial 12 month contract role.Next Steps:The role looks like something you might be interested in?Hit the "Apply Now" buttonIf this job isn't suited to your skills but you are looking for a new opportunity please get in touch by sending an email to
