Senior Scrum Master

Job Description:We are currently seeking a Senior Scrum Master to join our team in Fidelity Ireland under the Fidelity Institutional Technology group.You will support two cross-functional teams, engaging with all team members, Product Owners / Squad Leads and Product Area Leads to reinforce and embed an agile approach and principles into the day-to-day work.By demonstrating and promoting Fidelity and agile leadership behaviours, you will evolve and sustain an innovative agile and learning culture.This role will form part of an exciting new group tasked with building innovative capabilities to support the rollout of new Digital Asset financial instruments in the Institutional market.The Expertise We're Looking ForBachelor's Degree or equivalent experience5+ years of proven experience in a dedicated Scrum Master role within a software delivery organisationStrong proficiency and experience with agile practices, processes and artifacts, and in applying scrum methodologiesExperience in interpreting agile metrics to help identify and drive improvement opportunities, with a passion for mentoring and supporting teamsStrong experience in using tools such as JIRA and JIRA AlignExperience in working in a scaled agile environment, collaborating with other Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and teams to ensure work is planned and aligned, and dependencies are identified and managedExperience in tracking and reporting on team progress in a scaled agile environmentAdvanced Scrum certifications (A-CSM/PSM-II) preferredFinancial services experience preferred but not essentialThe Purpose of Your RoleYou will be the Scrum Master across two cross-functional teams in Galway, IrelandYou will advise and lead the teams on agile values, practices and processes to ensure that teams are fully functional, productive, and focused on the sprint goalsYou will run all the scrum ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily scrum, sprint review and sprint retrospectiveYou will work with the teams and product area to resolve challenges and remove impedimentsYou will prepare for, guide and facilitate the teams in their release activitiesYou will participate in scaled agile events such as the Scrum of Scrum's and may be required to facilitate, lead or co-ordinate the logistics for these eventsYou will build positive relationships within and across teams, and across the product and technology areasThe Skills You BringA truly agile attitude with a continuous improvement mentality and passion and ability to coach and mentorYou are an agile practitioner with deep understanding of agile principles and practicesYou have a deep understanding of technology and can drive delivery leveraging your expertiseExcellent facilitation skills with ability to understand and help address challenges and roadblocksExcellent communication and interpersonal skills and can rapidly build trust and positively influence others at all levels of the organizationThe Value You DeliverLead and coordinate logistics for agile ceremonies and eventsWork with Squad Leaders and teams to ensure all work is tracked in the backlogs, scrum team capacity is applied effectively, and work is accurately balanced across team membersWork with technology & business partners to understand project objectives, priorities, timelines, use cases and requirementsGenerate and maintain team performance metrics to provide an effective feedback loop for the teams and visibility to partnersIdentify team improvement opportunities and enable the teams to implement continuous improvementsYou are an effective facilitator and can resolve challenging team issuesCoordinate Scrum boards for the teamsEncourage agile behaviours, reinforce agile values and principles and support the teams to follow the agile processes and practicesInspire and drive a collaborative, open and supportive team culture through team building events and engagement practicesPartner closely with other Scrum Masters across the Business Unit and region to share ideas, agile practices, and findingsCategory:Program/Project Management
