DescriptionPurpose of the Position: To coordinate and implement our Physiotherapy programmes for Adult clients with neuro-physical disabilities.
Reporting to: Therapy Programme Manager
Contract: Whole time equivalent /Part Time - Permanent Contract
Qualifications: B.Sc./Masters degree in Physiotherapy approved by the Physiotherapists Registration Board at CORU.Membership of, or eligibility for membership of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists (ISCP) and CORU registered.Knowledge of the Irish Healthcare System.Excellent verbal and written skills in English are essential.Must have relevant experience working in the area of Adult Neurology.Experience: · It is essential that candidates have: o Senior level or relevant clinical experience working in Adult Neuro Rehabilitation.
o The appointee must have experience with:
§ Conducting comprehensive assessments that inform intervention and service delivery.
§ Ability to develop individualized goals in collaboration with our clients and families.
§ Deliver specialist Physiotherapist intervention as part of an MDT in Neuro Rehabilitation using evidence-based interventions to address impairments such as motor control, spasticity, balance, postural control, and mobility.
o Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and team working skills.
o Ability to use your own initiative, work independently, and work as part of a team.
o Flexibility and openness to change are required.
o Commitment to on-going CPD
· It is desirable, but not essential that candidates have: o Evidence of post graduate clinical education in the area of Brain Injury, Spinal Cord Injury (SCI), or a related area is desirable.

Job Description: (Adults) Crann is an out-patient neuro-physical disabilities service based in Cork.
This exciting new role will require a dynamic, skilled Physiotherapist who will work with the programme manager to establish the physiotherapy service to deliver specialist neuro rehabilitation to clients with Stroke, Multiple Sclerosis and Spinal Cord Injury, as well as other clients served by Crann.
The '2Gen' Model of Care Approach is used in Crann to support both clients and families and the appointee will be required to work within this innovative model.
Overview of Role & Professional Practice: · Working within a Multi-Disciplinary Team to co-ordinate and implement specialist individual Physiotherapy, as well as team goals and interventions for clients with neuro-physical disabilities.
· To work in conjunction with Crann MDT in developing service in line with organisational objectives.
· Delivering education to client groups, internally to staff and externally to relevant stakeholders.
Liaise with the Therapy Programme Manager and other staff to develop, co-ordinate and deliver high quality total client care.Participate in review meetings, case conferences etc as required.Liaise with clients, their relatives/carers, other staff and outside agencies as required.Complete relevant clinical assessments and working with clients and families to identify goalsCarry out agreed Physiotherapy programmes/goals, both individual treatments, co-treatments and groups run alone or with other members of the treatment team.Monitor, evaluate and modify treatment for clients to measure progressCrann has a strong commitment to Research and part of the Physiotherapy role will be contributing to research as is appropriate to the role.To participate in the evaluation and audit of practice associated with the programmes.Maintenance and provision of statistics, records and other information related to the treatment programme as required.Keep up to date with advances and new techniques and completing relevant CPD training.To be professionally, legally and ethically accountable for all aspects of your own work including the management of clients in your care.
Ensure patient confidentiality is maintained at all times.To understand clinical risk and manage effectively to ensure safety of clients, families, & colleagues,Maintain clinical records in accordance with professional standards/guidance.To comply with the ISCP Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice and local Polices and monitor own quality of practice as appropriate.Maintain an up-to-date CPD to ISCP/CORU standards, as well as mandatory training as required.· Engage in IT developments as they apply to clients and service administration.
