NPDI Engineer FAAC Electronics Limited is an electronic manufacturing site, located in the Citywest Business Campus (Dublin 24).
We are the main electronic supplier for all the Business Units of the Italian group FAAC Technologies, world leader in access automation, parking and access control, employing more than 3,900 employees worldwide across 5 continents and our 55 companies.
Our 3 Business Units are:
ACCESS AUTOMATION (FAAC Simply Automatic) - automation for gates and barriers, entrances and automatic doors, motors for rolling shutters and screens, car parksACCESS CONTROL (Magnetic) - systems with innovative solutions for access control, for both barriers and pedestrian passagesPARKING TECHNOLOGY (Hub) - with intelligent and scalable solutions to control paid car parksThe NPDI (New Product Development Introduction) Engineer is responsible for coordinating and executing all technical and cross-functional activities necessary to successfully develop and introduce new products into production.
This role ensures that new designs are manufacturable, cost-effective, meet quality standards and are delivered on time to market.
The NPDI Engineer reports to the NPDI Manager and works with cross-functional teams across the organization.
Individual Areas of Responsibilities Support and coordinate product development activities, working closely with R&D, Engineering, Production, Planning & Logistics, and Quality to ensure a smooth transition from product concept to full-scale productionOversee the transition from prototype to mass production, by conducting trial production run, addressing production issues, and ensuring full-scale production processes are stable and efficientCreate and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs), routings, and product specifications.Prepare and update production documentation, including Work Instructions, Visual Aids, and Manufacturing & Control PlansCoordinate with Procurement Team to ensure timely availability of components for prototypes and production ramp-upManage activities related to the introduction and implementation of Engineering Changes (ECs)Responsible for collecting and updating cycle times during Trial and Pre-series phases, supporting process optimization and cost efficiency through the accurate definition and maintenance of standard times and workflowsRequired Skills and Qualifications Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines and coordinate cross-functional effortsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-oriented mind-set.Proven ability to lead and collaborate in a cross-functional environmentKnowledge and experience in electronics manufacturing processes, acquired through education or practical experienceGood knowledge of time and methods analysisFamiliarity with lean manufacturing principlesProficient in MS Office and CAD softwareExperience with SAP is highly preferredMinimum of 2 years of experience in a similar roleStrong written and verbal communication skills in EnglishBenefitsCompetitive salaryAnnual leave entitlement of 24 daysSubsidised canteenMedical insuranceDeath in Service and Income Protection benefitsLong service awardsChristmas bonusApply on our "Work with us" page @careers.faacgroup.com
