Title: Quality EngineerLocation: Haeger Europe Status: Fulltime Permanent – Entry LevelDepartment: Quality Report to: Haeger Operations ManagerHaeger is a leader in the manufacturing of fastener installation machines and are committed to providing quality, value added products and services.The role of Quality Engineer will be required to manage process and product quality, and drive problem solving and process improvement projects within Haeger Europe and its supply baseRESPONSIBILITIES:Drive continual improvement in the assembly process focussed on:Reduction of non-conforming material and customer complaintsReduction of Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ)Other variation and waste reductionLead problem solving activities with the Haeger assembly team and implement robust Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA)Support the design and implementation of a ISO**** Quality Management System• Develop & maintain control plans, work instruction and quality documentation.Maintain and report appropriate Quality performance metrics on a Daily/Weekly/Monthly basis.Communication of quality issues to relevant personnel.• Liaise with suppliers to address concerns with non-conforming materials and servicesMonitor calibration activitiesLead process improvement projects utilising a Lean Sigma DMAIC approachPromote a culture that fosters employee involvement, team work, and the understanding that quality is everyone's responsibility.Any other duties as defined to meet business requirements.REQUIREMENTS:At minimum, a Level 7 degree in Engineering or Science discipline is requiredMust be able to use a computer.Full training on specific applications used will be providedPro-active approach to identifying potential problems/weaknesses and identifying and implementing improvements is desirableTraining in problem solving (CAPA) and Lean Sigma methods will be provided.Training in other required quality tools will be providedJob Types: Full-time, PermanentBenefits:Company pensionOn-site parkingPrivate medical insuranceAbility to commute/relocate:Galway, CO.Galway: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)Experience:Quality : 1 year (preferred)Work Location: In person
