About the Role: Our client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join their team based in Kilbarrack for 24 hours a week for a 12 month contract. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in assisting pharmacists to ensure the efficient and accurate dispensing of medications, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining the smooth operation of the pharmacy. Key Responsibilities: Assist in the preparation and dispensing of prescriptions under the supervision of a pharmacist. Accurately measure, package, label, and record medications. Provide excellent customer service and answer queries related to medications and health products. Manage inventory, including ordering, receiving, and stocking medications and supplies. Process prescription orders using pharmacy software systems. Support the pharmacist with patient consultations and ensuring the safe delivery of medications. Maintain pharmacy records and ensure compliance with regulations. Assist with the preparation of extemporaneous medications and compounding when necessary. Keep up to date with pharmacy best practices and protocols. Essential Criteria: IPU Pharmacy Technician course or Higher Certificate in Pharmacy Technician Studies is essential. Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently with excellent communication skills, both orally and in writing.
