Mechanical Engineer (Account Manager & Production)

Due to growth and internal progression, we are seeking
Mechanical Engineers
with a
minimum Level 8 qualification
.
This role requires strong mechanical reasoning, the ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams, and daily interaction with customers and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Engage with customers daily, interpreting technical drawings for small and large projects.
Provide cost-effective engineering solutions, advising customers on design modifications to suit manufacturing processes and reduce costs.
Price and execute customer orders, ensuring all production drawings are correct and aligned with SOPs.
Program CNC machines using
2D or 3D machine-specific software
to optimise production efficiency.
Produce
job sheets, bend drawings, and process flows
, and plan machine schedules.
Troubleshoot daily production issues and identify
process improvement opportunities
.
Gather
KPIs
to track performance and drive continuous improvement.
Collaborate with internal teams from
purchase order to shipment
to ensure smooth workflow.
Manage multiple projects, ensuring timely completion while liaising with in-house teams, suppliers, and subcontractors.
Maintain accurate records of all process steps and ensure compliance with quality standards.
Key Requirements:
Minimum Level 8 qualification
in Mechanical, Precision, or Manufacturing Engineering.
3+ years' experience
in an engineering role (account management or production-focused).
Strong ability to read and interpret
technical drawings
.
Proficiency in
2D and 3D modelling software
for machine programming.
Project management skills
, with the ability to handle multiple projects of varying sizes.
Experience in
account management, business development, and pricing projects
.
Strong
organisational and time management skills
.
Hands-on experience with
process planning, troubleshooting, and workflow optimisation
.
Excellent
interpersonal, organisational, and communication skills
.
Fluent English speaker (mother tongue level).
