Junior Chocolatier (September to May) - Pastry Chef & ChefGrá Chocolates is on the lookout for a talented and passionate Junior Chocolatier to join our growing team in Galway for a seasonal role from September to May.This is a unique opportunity to work with premium, ethically sourced ingredients and contribute to a brand celebrated for its hand-crafted, artisan confections.About Grá Chocolates: We are a small-batch chocolatier dedicated to the art of creating unforgettable flavors.We hand-paint our bonbons, source locally, and meticulously polish each mould to ensure a beautiful shine.Our market niche is creating hand-crafted, premium chocolate products for our customers.We do things differently here, and we're looking for someone who shares our fire and ambition.Role & Responsibilities: As a Junior Chocolatier, you'll be an essential part of our production team, reporting to our Head Chocolatier.Your primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:Chocolate Production: Assisting in the entire production process, including tempering, molding, and hand-painting our signature bonbons.Quality Control: Ensuring every product meets our high standards for taste, appearance, and craftsmanship.Kitchen Management: Maintaining a clean, organized, and hygienic workstation in line with food safety and sanitation standards.Support & Collaboration: Working alongside the production team and assisting with new product development and seasonal collections.Inventory & Packaging: Helping with the management of raw materials and the careful packaging of finished products.Who We're Looking For: You don't need to be a seasoned chocolatier, but you must have a proven passion for chocolate and a desire to learn.The ideal candidate will have:A background in a professional kitchen environment, such as a pastry chef, baker, or a junior culinary role.A strong understanding of confectionery and pastry skills.Exceptional attention to detail and precision in your work.The ability to work efficiently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, small-batch production environment.Strong organizational and time-management skills.Level 2-3 food handling/safety and hygiene certification is a plus.What It's Really Like to Work Here: This role is for someone who wants to shape the future of a brand.We are a small team with a positive work environment and ambitious goals.We trust each other to get the job done and encourage new ideas from everyone.If you have a creative spirit and a fire in your belly to create something new, we would love to have you join Team Grá.Work ScheduleThis is a full-time, four-day work week role.The standard workdays are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.This gives our team a consistent three-day weekend to rest and recharge.How to Apply: If this sounds like you, please submit your resume and a brief cover letter.In your letter, tell us why you are passionate about chocolate and how your skills and experience will help you succeed in this role.We encourage you to include a link to a portfolio or photos of your work if you have them.Job Type: Fixed termContract length: 6 monthsBenefits:Bike to work schemeEmployee discountOn-site parkingSick payWork Location: In person
