We're recruiting an experiencedHospitality & Events Supervisorwho is passionate about exceptional food and world-class customer service, and who can confidently oversee all Compass Group UK&I catering and service operations for Compass Group Ireland on a full-time basis, contracted to 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, daytime.As aHospitality & Events Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring our kitchens and service counters run smoothly and helping to deliver truly incredible food experiences.In return, you'll have the opportunity to progress your catering career with a company that invests in its people, celebrates individuality, and rewards and recognises employees who go beyond the plate.Could you shine as Compass Group Ireland's next Catering Supervisor?Here's what you need to know before applying.To oversee the front-of-house activities of the Catering Department during service times, ensuring that service runs efficiently and effectivelyHost, manage and assist with internal and external functions and hospitalityTo manage shifts and ensure that serving of food is handled efficiently and effectivelyEnsure catering calendar entries are checked and requirements fulfilled; menu boards and information are properly displayed to customers; crockery and cutlery are clean; appropriate drinks are available.To maintain good behavior and discipline among the team in the servery, including Food Servery Assistants and Plate Wash staffTo liaise with the Catering Department Management team over rotas and staff requirementsTo pack, and set up for functions, events and hospitality as delegated by the Hospitality ManagerProvide full responsibility for hosting and managing an event, and communicate service requirements and standards of operation to staffAssist the Hospitality Manager with planning, hosting and managing internal and external school events, functions and hospitalityComplete consumption sheets in a timely and accurate manner following each event and ensure that the Hospitality Manager is provided with this informationDrive the catering van safely and deliver as necessary to all areas of the school along with the Porter (may involve some heavy lifting)Work in close liaison with the Hospitality Manager to ensure that information and communication concerning events, functions and hospitality is passed on effectivelyMaintain inventories of event equipment to ensure that stocks are maintained and stores are kept tidy and ready for use; inform the Hospitality Manager of replacements requiredManage a system which records equipment loaned to areas of the school and ensure equipment is either returned or charged to the correct areaKeep up to date with what great looks like within the team and hospitality in other similar service providersAbout You:Enthusiastic, motivational, someone who strives for excellenceOrganised, able to make robust judgements and prioritiseGain and hold the respect of othersFlexible approach with a "can do" attitudeA good track record of driving world-class performanceStrong commercial experienceAbility to monitor and challenge the use of processesExcellent communication and relationship building skillsPassionate about foodWe are proud to be an equal-opportunity employer.We celebrate diversity and are committed to building an inclusive environment for all our colleagues.#J-*****-Ljbffr
