Social Care WorkerLotus Care provides a range of respite, residential and support services to Children & Adults with intellectual disabilities in a homely and comfortable community setting.We aim to empower people with the necessary skills to live full and satisfying lives as equal citizens of their local communities.This Role is also suitable for Social Care AssistantsBenefitsCompetitive premiums for unsocial hoursFull induction trainingExtensive in-house training programmeOn-going mentoring and supportRefer a Friend SchemeEmployee of the Month SchemeEAP AccessCompany eventsFree on-site parkingCPD supportRole OverviewReporting to: Person in ChargeContract Type:Working Week: Average of 40 hours a week, day and waking night shifts requiredLocation of Work: KildareRole ResponsibilitiesFacilitate and encourage decision-making, independence, and personal development.Provide support in daily living skills, including personal hygiene, health and appearance.Work in a person-centred manner to meet individual care plans and goals.Adhere to policies and procedures, standards, regulations, and codes of practiceAdminister and document the dispensation of prescribed medication.Undertake key worker responsibilities, helping service owners achieve goals.Document and report incidents and complaints involving staff, service owners or visitors.Work with MDT to achieve the goals of service owners.Essential RequirementsMinimum Level 7 qualification in Applied Social Studies or equivalent.Registered (or in process) with the Social Care Workers Registration Board by CORU.Hold a full Irish driving licensePrior experience in social care or healthcare.Working knowledge of HIQA standards and regulations.Excellent verbal and writing skills.Garda Vetting/Police ClearanceIND1
