We are recruiting on behalf of a leading biopharmaceutical company for an Junior Project Manager/Project Engineer to join their team in Dublin 15 on a contract basis.
This is an exciting opportunity to support the management and execution of a diverse mix of capital and expense projects across Process, Utilities, and Automation/IT systems.
You'll work closely with Senior Project Managers and stakeholders across the business, ensuring delivery of projects from initiation to closeout – with a strong focus on safety, schedule, budget, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities: Manage or support the delivery of multiple concurrent projects across manufacturing and utilitiesLead or contribute to project scope development, budgeting, scheduling, and cost controlEnsure projects comply with engineering best practices, internal procedures, and regulatory requirementsCollaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, QA, EHS, Procurement, and OperationsDevelop business cases, project charters, and execution plansCoordinate contractor and vendor activities, ensuring adherence to project milestones and deliverablesOversee procurement specifications, equipment selection, and installationLead commissioning and start-up activities for new systems and equipmentSupport validation efforts in collaboration with quality and engineering functionsApply risk management principles to anticipate, assess, and mitigate project risksEnsure proper documentation and close-out of projects in line with stage-gate processesUtilize project management tools (e.g., MS Project, SAP) for tracking and reporting on project performanceChampion innovation and value engineering to optimize design, cost, and functionalityCommunicate project progress, risks, and results to senior management and stakeholdersQualifications: Degree in Engineering (or equivalent)3+ years of project engineering/management experience in a pharmaceutical settingProven ability to deliver projects safely, on time, and within budgetStrong understanding of project lifecycle and stage-gate methodologiesExcellent communication, stakeholder management, and team leadership skillsProficiency in MS Office; SAP experience a plusExperience in biologics manufacturing is an advantage
