Job Description: Flexsource is currently recruiting dedicated Drivers to join the Social Work Team, helping deliver vital support services to children, families, and communities.
This role offers the opportunity to make a real difference by ensuring safe and reliable transport, supporting social workers in their daily duties, and contributing to the wellbeing and protection of vulnerable children and families across your local area.
Job Title: Child and Family Service Driver Key Responsibilities: Safely transport service users and staff, ensuring compliance with all road safety regulations.
Carry out basic daily vehicle checks (tyres, fuel, etc.) and report any faults.
Maintain vehicle cleanliness and security.
Plan and prioritise routes in coordination with the Social Work Team.
Support the social work team with reasonable non-clinical assistance.
Ensure all equipment in the vehicle is accounted for and in good working order.
Contribute to a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for children and families.
Key Requirements: A full, clean Category B driving licence with at least 3 years driving experience.
Good knowledge of local road networks.
Strong organisational and time-management skills.
Ability to communicate clearly with supervisors, social workers, and families.
A proven ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Basic ICT and administrative skills, including record-keeping.
Awareness of child protection standards and HIQA guidelines (training provided if required).
Commitment to the safeguarding and wellbeing of children and families.
High standards of reliability, responsibility, and professionalism.
Pay and Benefits: Starting salary: €35,788 per annum Annual Leave: 23 days per annum Full training and support provided.
Hours & Locations: Full-time role: 39 hours per week Standard hours: Monday Friday, 9:0017:00 Occasional extended hours may be required due to emergencies or delays.
