Overview
Senior RTR Accountant – Cork COE.
As a Senior RTR Accountant, you'll play a key role in delivering accurate and compliant financial reporting for FMC's Global business units, while also driving value-added activities beyond traditional accounting.
This role goes beyond month-end close – you'll partner with stakeholders globally, mentor colleagues, and contribute to ongoing projects in automation, systems, and process improvement.
What You'll Do
Lead and deliver complex R2R activities: reconciliations, variance analysis, and balance sheet reviews.
Manage month- and quarter-end close, ensuring compliance with deadlines and standards.
Support treasury (cash reconciliation, currency exposure) and income tax accruals.
Ensure compliance with US GAAP, local GAAP, SOX, and audit requirements.
Work with global stakeholders to resolve accounting issues and provide analysis.
Contribute to system upgrades and automation projects (SAP S/4 HANA, Blackline, Alteryx).
Provide guidance and support to colleagues within the team.
Your Profile
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent.
Professional qualification (CPA, ACCA, CIMA, ACA) strongly preferred.
4+ years' relevant accounting experience, ideally in a multinational or shared service environment.
ERP experience (SAP S/4 HANA an advantage), Blackline/Alteryx desirable.
Skilled in handling complex accounting issues and providing analysis.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Proactive, independent, and solutions-focused.
Experience supporting or mentoring colleagues is an advantage.
