Irish Life Investment Managers (ILIM) has a permanent role for an enthusiastic candidate to work as a Quantitative Analyst within the Systematic Investment Strategies team.
The team is responsible for the design and implementation of a wide range of solutions – primarily equity – that are key building blocks in the ILIM multi-asset portfolio solutions.
These solutions account for over €20bln of assets.
This role will cover the full quantitative lifecycle from research, design, and implementation of solutions, but a strong focus will be on development and technology.
The successful candidate will be expected to work on several new data initiatives using best-in-class data technologies including cloud-based and API methods.
Key Responsibilities
Developing and delivering key data solutions and pipelines for use in quantitative research.
Researching, developing and enhancing existing investment strategies and models that drive our equity solutions.
The use and development of best-in-class quantitative portfolio management techniques.
Developing and maintaining systems to support ongoing research.
Trialling and onboarding new datasets and technologies.
Interacting with client and sales teams to support business development opportunities.
Collating and presenting research findings.
About You
A strong academic record (3rd level and/or post-graduate) in a technical discipline such as quantitative finance, mathematics, statistics, computer science, or engineering.
A strong foundation, and keen interest, in programming with Python and SQL.
A knowledge of data science techniques from econometrics to machine learning.
An interest in finance, the investment industry and associated research e.g. SSRN.
Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented collaborative environment.
Inquisitive with a strong attention to detail.
Ambitious and hardworking with a drive for achieving results.
A good problem solver, who can demonstrate their thinking process.
A good communicator and demonstrable presentation skills.
