We are recruiting for an Early Years AIM Educator 1 x Full-time role 27 hours weekly The Daughters of Charity Community Services (Do CCS), located at 9 Henrietta Street, Dublin 1, provides a range of educational, training and social care services for adults, youth and children in the North Inner City.
The organisation is currently recruiting an AIM Educator to join the organisation.
The AIMs Educator will work within in the Early Years Team to provide education, guidance, support and care to the children.
About AIM model: The Access and Inclusionmodel promotes inclusive practice and offers all children an opportunity of meaningful participation in a pre-school setting.
Determining how to allow a child to participate varies depending on the need of the child.
AIM is a strength-based model and not an SNA model; however some children will require one to one care.
The details of the role are as follow; AIM Educator Full-time Term Time contract with up to 27 hours per week.
This role will commence immediately and run through until July with the possibility of an AIMs role or other roles in Early Years Education in September 2025 Duties include: To support and assist in the provision of early year education of the highest quality, in a holistic setting.
To ensure a safe and fun environment for the children to grow and learn.
To maintain an organised, clean environment for the children.
Organise materials and activities to encourage children's participation throughout the day.
Support childrens holistic development by catering for their individual needs.
Conduct observations & learning stories for assigned child/children.
Supporting children in meeting set goals outlined by their inclusion plans.
Attending staff meetings and undergo training as required.
Work cohesively with children, families and educators to enhance each childs holistic development.
Adopt a pedagogical approach that is underpinned by Aister & Siolta which nurtures childrens early years development.
Perform other reasonable and relevant duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Essential Minimum QQI Level 5 in a childcare qualification or equivalent (check A passion for working with young children and their families.
Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Strong organisational skills, with an ability to manage multiple work tasks and a busy environment.
