Your Role: As a Staff Speech and Language Therapist, you will provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for patients with communication and swallowing disorders.
You will play a critical role in improving the health, well-being, and quality of life of patients within an acute hospital environment.

Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive assessments for patients with communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing difficulties.
Manage a caseload of elderly patients with neurological conditions, including stroke, brain injury, and progressive neurological diseases.
Deliver evidence-based interventions to patients with dysphagia, ensuring best practice in assessment and management.
Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team (MDT), including medical, nursing, physiotherapy, and occupational therapy teams, to provide holistic patient care.
Provide education and training to hospital staff, patients, and families on communication and swallowing strategies.
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and participate in ongoing clinical audits and service development.
Engage in clinical supervision and continuous professional development (CPD) to ensure the highest standard of care.
Essential: CORU registration (or eligibility) as a Speech & Language Therapist.
Dysphagia qualification and experience in an acute setting.
Experience working with neurological conditions, stroke rehabilitation, and orthopaedics.
