This client works on a diverse range of projects, from commercial and residential developments to infrastructure and large-scale engineering projects.
Role Overview: Seeking a detail-oriented and motivated CAD Technician to join our growing team.
The ideal candidate will support the preparation of drawings and technical documentation contributing to the successful delivery of projects.
You will work closely with engineers, geologists, and project managers to produce high-quality CAD drawings that accurately reflect site conditions, investigation findings, and technical specifications.
Key Responsibilities: CAD Drafting & Design: Prepare accurate 2 D and 3 D CAD drawings for projects, including site plans, borehole logs, site investigation layouts, and trench diagrams.
Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, geologists, and other team members to understand project requirements and ensure that drawings align with technical specifications.
Data Processing: Assist in the processing and presentation of site data, including survey information, borehole data, and test results, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project standards.
Documentation: Maintain and organize project files, drawings, and documentation for easy retrieval and compliance with company standards.
Quality Assurance: Review and check completed drawings for accuracy, consistency, and adherence to industry standards, project requirements, and company procedures.
Software Usage: Utilize CAD software (Auto CAD, Civil 3 D, or similar) to produce detailed drawings and assist with design modifications as required.
Communication: Communicate with team members, clients, and stakeholders to ensure drawing requirements and project timelines are met.
Skills & Experience Required: Essential: Proficiency in Auto CAD (or similar CAD software); experience with Civil 3 D is an advantage.
Basic understanding of site investigation techniques and ground investigation terminology.
Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality, accurate drawings.
Good organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Qualifications: A relevant qualification in CAD, engineering, or a related field.
Relevant on-the-job training or experience will also be considered.
