Microbiology Registrar HSE Hospital South of Ireland Immediate Interview A university hospital in the South of Ireland has an opportunity for a Microbiology Registrar Key Responsibilities: Provide specialist microbiology input to the clinical service, including advice on antimicrobial therapy and infection control.Participate in diagnostic laboratory services, including bacteriology, virology, mycology, and molecular diagnostics.
Contribute to multidisciplinary ward rounds and meetings with clinical teams.
Support infection prevention and control initiatives across the hospital.
Engage in teaching and supervision of junior staff and medical students.
Participate in the microbiology on-call rota.
Essential Requirements: Full registration (or eligibility for registration) with the Medical Council of Ireland.
Previous clinical experience in Microbiology or Infectious Diseases is desirable.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
