Were now seeking a commercially driven Project Quantity Surveyor to join our growing team.

The Role You will take full commercial responsibility for projects from pre-contract through to final account.

Working closely with our project managers, youll ensure every pound is tracked, every risk is managed, and every opportunity to add value is seized.

Key Responsibilities: Proactively manage the projects finances to ensure client satisfaction while maximising profitability.

Accurately and promptly value and report all billable works to maintain positive cash flow.

Proactively visit site at least once a month to measure and assess work progress, ensuring that payment certificates are issued promptly in line with contract terms.

Continuously monitor current and anticipated spending, identifying and implementing cost-effective alternatives to maximise profitability.

Ensure all contractual obligations are met by understanding key contract terms, managing variations fairly, and keeping records to demonstrate compliance.

Maintain clear and consistent communication with all project stakeholders to ensure alignment on financial matters and project progress.

Key Competencies: Analytical Thinking and Financial Acumen Attention to Detail and Accuracy Clear and Concise Communication Integrity and Professionalism Initiative and Proactive Problem Solving Strong Commercial Awareness Team Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement What Were Looking For Whether youve come up through a traditional QS degree route or built your expertise through hands-on experience, were looking for someone with strong commercial instincts, initiative, and a proven track record.

Essential: 5+ years experience in a Quantity Surveying role within main contracting Strong NEC contract knowledge (JCT also beneficial) Proven track record in cost control, forecasting, and reporting Comfortable managing multiple priorities and working independently Excellent commercial judgement and communication skills Proficient in Estimating and QS software (Cost X preferred) Full UK driving licence Desirable: Degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management Experience of Construction Projects in Excess of £10,000,000 Chartered (RICS/CIOB) or working towards it Familiarity with BIM, digital take-off, and sustainability considerations Experience with D&B contracts and public procurement Working knowledge of construction management software, particularly Procore Why Join Us Be part of a collaborative, fast-growing company with ambition to be an Industry Leading Contractor.
