Regional Clinical Nurse Specialist-dementia

As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the quality of care we provide to our residents.
You will be a clinical expert, providing leadership, education, and support to our nursing staff, ensuring best practices are implemented and the individual needs of our residents are met with compassion and expertise.
Key Responsibilities: Provide expert clinical advice and support to nursing staff on complex care issues.
Develop, implement, and evaluate clinical guidelines, policies, and procedures based on current evidence-based practice.
Lead and participate in clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives.
Educate and mentor nursing staff through formal and informal teaching sessions, in-service training, and individual support.
Act as a role model in the delivery of high-quality, person-centered care.
Collaborate effectively with the multidisciplinary team, residents, and their families.
Contribute to the ongoing professional development of the nursing team.
Participate in research and service development activities.
Maintain accurate and comprehensive clinical documentation.
What We're Looking For: Registered General Nurse (RGN) with current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
Significant post-registration experience, with a strong clinical background in a relevant specialty (e.g., gerontology, dementia care).
A relevant postgraduate qualification in Clinical Nursing or a related field.
Demonstrable expert clinical knowledge and skills.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
A commitment to continuous professional development and evidence-based practice.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
