On behalf of our client, we are seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing to join a Nursing Home in Cork.
Requirements: Registered Nurse with active registration on the NMBI.
Minimum of 2 years management experience.
Post-registration qualification in gerontology and/or dementia care is highly desirable.
QQI Level 6 in Management or Leadership.
Eligible to work in Ireland.
Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills with a focus on team motivation and continuous professional development.
Key Responsibilities: Ensure the delivery of exceptional nursing and social care tailored to each resident's needs.
Oversee clinical standards, conduct assessments, and manage care plans to maintain high-quality outcomes.
Supervise medication administration, conduct audits, and liaise with GPs and pharmacies to ensure compliance with best practices and improve medication management standards.
Lead and mentor CNMs, nurses, and care assistants, providing ongoing training and development.
Foster a professional, caring approach among staff to ensure residents receive the highest standard of care.
Perform regular clinical, environmental, and medication audits.
Develop and implement action plans to maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards in collaboration with the Director of Nursing.
Serve as a key contact for residents and families, addressing concerns promptly and supporting a person-centred care approach.
Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to enhance the resident experience.
