With innovation at the heart of their mission, they are expanding their R&D team and seeking a highly motivated Senior Software Engineer with strong Lab VIEW expertise.
Role Overview: The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, developing, and validating software solutions to support the development and testing of complex medical device systems.
Working in a collaborative environment, you will help ensure that all software complies with medical device standards and quality systems.
Key Responsibilities: Design and develop custom applications and automated test systems using Lab VIEW Support software development activities across the product lifecycle, from concept to release Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, Quality, and Regulatory Affairs Ensure software solutions are compliant with relevant medical device standards (e.g., IEC 62304, ISO 13485) Contribute to verification & validation testing, documentation, and risk analysis Participate in code reviews, technical design reviews, and software process improvements Required Experience & Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or similar Strong Lab VIEW programming experience (Certified Lab VIEW Developer/Architect is a plus) Minimum 5 years of professional software engineering experience Proven ability to work in regulated environments (e.g., medical devices, pharma, aerospace) Familiarity with medical device software development standards (e.g., IEC 62304) is highly desirable Strong documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills Desirable Experience: Experience working on Class II or III medical devices Knowledge of additional languages/tools (e.g., C/C++, Python, Test Stand) Familiarity with hardware integration and embedded systems What's on Offer: Competitive salary and benefits package Opportunity to work on cutting-edge medical technology Collaborative and innovative work culture Career development and progression in a global organization At Wallace Myers International Recruitment Agency we specialise in sourcing professionals for key industries and services.
