GPC Finance is delighted to partner with a respected medium-sized accountancy firm in Cork to hire a Trainee Accountant.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated finance graduate to kickstart their career in accountancy.
You will join a dynamic team and gain valuable experience working closely with management and partners, with a clear path to becoming a fully qualified accountant within 3 years.
Requirements A degree in Accountancy, Commerce, or a related field (minimum requirement).
Willingness and commitment to pursue professional accountancy qualifications (ACA/ACCA/CPA).
Strong motivation, professionalism, and eagerness to learn.
Excellent IT skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Ability to meet deadlines and manage workload effectively.
Responsibilities Bookkeeping and preparation of VAT returns.
Preparation of financial statements for sole traders and audit-exempt companies.
Preparation of Income Tax Returns, Corporation Tax Returns, and Management Accounts.
Handling Company Secretarial Returns.
Assisting with various ad hoc accounting and administrative tasks.
Participating in relevant training and development courses as agreed with your manager.
Staying updated on changes in accountancy and tax legislation and supporting the firm in implementing these updates.
