Working with a leading Irish Plc who has a requirement for a Senior Group Accountant.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly ambitious candidate who is seeking to rapidly progress their skill-set and career in a high performing, meritocratic environment.
Additionally, this role offers high visibility in the finance organization and produces key financial analysis, which is leveraged by senior leadership for presentation to the Board and other senior executives.
Key Responsibilities Working as part of Consolidation team on preparation of consolidated monthly accounts including income statement, balance sheet and cashflow Perform analytical review of movements of key reporting units provide concise explanations on trends and variances against prior year and budget Work cross-functionally throughout the organization to obtain relevant information Working closely with Financial Reporting team and group companies to ensure smooth US GAAP reporting Assisting with preparation of budgets and forecasts Consolidation processes are functioning as intended, and that any weaknesses or deviations from internal controls are timely acted upon Liaising with global reporting units to ensure financial information is timely, accurate and complete Responsible for identifying and implementing improvements to reporting processes to create efficiencies and reduce timeframes for deliverables in the financial close and reporting processes Completion of various ad hoc reporting and project requests including integration of newly acquired businesses Mentoring and coaching more junior team members Key Skills And Experience Qualified Accountant, Big 4 trained (PQE 3 to 5) Strong technical accounting and consolidations knowledge, and high-level analytical skills Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage a wide range of stakeholder relationships and drive best practice A commitment to building a highly controlled and efficient process-driven environment Ability to work independently and as part of a team Efficient and accurate delivery of reporting for a variety of stakeholders Remuneration Remuneration will include a strong base salary, plus Bonus, Pension and Health Insurance.
