Automation Engineer

Responsibilities: PLC Engineering Expertise: Experienced in Siemens S7 PLCs, including functional safety design (FS systems), programming in CFC, SCL, and F Systems Charts, and configuring both standard and safety communications.
Proficient in RS232/RS485/RS422 serial links and interpreting electrical relay control circuits.
Project & Technical Leadership: Led small to mid-sized automation projects from concept through validation, with full responsibility for planning, execution, and issue resolution in control systems and site operations.
Design & Standards Compliance: Develop system specifications, standard procedures, and risk mitigation strategies in line with industry norms.
Conduct automation design reviews for capital purchases and ensured adherence to regulatory and site standards.
Testing & Qualification: Create and execute FAT, SAT, and qualification protocols for new systems and upgrades, supporting system validation and performance assurance.
Mentorship & Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives and coach junior engineers, contributing to knowledge transfer and sustained performance gains.
Qualifications & Skills: Degree and / or masters in Engineering or Science Experience in automation engineering / maintenance and/or operations Strong control system and automation skills especially in Siemens technologies Skills: PLC S7 Automation SCADA Systems
