This hybrid role is based in Dublin or the South East of Ireland, offering flexibility and the opportunity to work on large-scale commercial, industrial, and residential projects across Ireland.
The successful candidate will have35+ years of experiencein mechanical estimation, with a strong understanding of HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems.
You will play a key role in preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates, supporting tender submissions, and collaborating closely with project managers, engineers, and the wider commercial team.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare detailed and accurate mechanical cost estimates for a variety of projects Analyse drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive tenders Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotations and build competitive pricing Participate in pre-tender meetings, site visits, and value engineering exercises Work closely with the operations and commercial teams to ensure seamless project handovers Requirements: 35+ years of experience in mechanical estimation within the construction or M&E sector Strong technical understanding of mechanical building systems Proficient in estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills Strong communication and interpersonal abilities Benefits: Competitive salary and benefits package Hybrid working model with regional office support Opportunities for career progression within a well-established contractor Candidates must be eligible to work full time and long term in the location specified or currently hold a valid appropriate long term work Visa to apply.
