Group Accountant

We are seeking a qualified and motivated Group Accountant to lead the day-to-day operations of our Finance Department.

The successful candidate will play a key role in financial reporting, compliance, and process improvement across the business.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate monthly financial accounts and conduct variance analysis.
  2. Cash Flow Management: Manage company cash flow and prepare regular cash flow statements.
  3. General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain up-to-date and accurate General Ledger and accounting records.
  4. Compliance: Maintain SOX compliance across all financial operations.
  5. Capital Expenditure Management: Monitor and control capital expenditure, ensuring alignment with budgets and accurate reporting.
  6. Payroll Processing: Oversee payroll processing for wages and salaries.
  7. Cost Control: Manage overheads and indirect costs, ensuring effective cost control.
  8. Statutory Returns: Ensure timely submission of all statutory returns, including P30, VAT, and Intrastat.
  9. Compliance Functions: Administer various compliance functions, including import/export licensing.
  10. Business Planning: Assist with the preparation of business plans, budgets, forecasts, and Board reporting packs.
  11. External Audit: Support the annual external audit process.
  12. Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and strengthen internal controls.
  13. Safety and Compliance: Foster strong collaborative relationships with colleagues, managers, and external stakeholders. Promote and support a safe working environment, ensuring compliance with all Health, Safety, and Environmental (SHE) regulations.
