We are currently seeking a highly-motivated Family Support Worker/Driver to join our team in Co Roscommon Contract Type: Variable hours Contract Contract Hours: Relief - 3 to 30 hours available Salary Scale: €32,639 to €39,499 (€16.09 p/h to 19.47 p/h) pro rata per annum.

Salary scales are subject to LSI's (Long Service Increments) Annual Leave Entitlement: Annual leave entitlement is 10.7% of hours worked Overview of the Post: To provide support to children to enable them to participate in the community, achieve person centred goals and facilitate inclusion.

The Family Support Worker will provide practical, personal and social support to the individual they work with.

Must be flexible regarding working hours: afterschool / evenings and Saturdays / school holidays on return of hours basis as required.

Please see Job Description for full list of duties The successful candidate will have Essential Criteria: QQI Level 5 major award in childcare or equivalent (we will consider applicants working towards full major childcare qualification or equivalent) Have experience working with children/teens Have experience of working with children with disabilities Have experience providing personal care to individuals Demonstrates excellent written, presentation and verbal communication skills Demonstrates good awareness of health and safety issues Desirable Criteria: Have experience of working with children in community/non-centred based and centre-based setting as lone worker and as part of a team Have experience of working with children with disabilities and/or Autism Access to transport and full clean driving licence If you believe you would fit the role then please submit your application today.
