Graphic Designer

Position: Graphic Designer Full Time - Permanent Monday to Friday (8.30am - 5.00pm) Location - Office based role in SONAS HQ, Ballycoolin, Dublin 15 Salary - €35,000 - €40,000 p.a., depending on experience About Us: SONAS is a leading brand and manufacturer of high-quality bathroom products.

The Role: SONAS is seeking a creative, talented, and ambitious Graphic Designer to join our dynamic in-house team.
If you are passionate about design, brimming with fresh ideas, and eager to make a meaningful impact, this role could be the perfect opportunity for you Reporting directly to the Senior Graphic Design Lead, you will play a key role in collaborating with both the Product Development and Marketing teams.
The key role responsibilities are - Design & Production: Create high quality designs for both print and digital assets, including brochures, product catalogues, website content, email campaigns, social media, and advertisements.
Ensure technical precision and alignment with brand guidelines, effectively showcasing our products and supporting marketing campaigns.
Brand Consistency: Creatively apply brand guidelines across all design projects, ensuring consistency while adapting and elevating designs to meet specific project needs.
Adobe Expertise: Utilise advanced features of In Design, Photoshop, and Illustrator to create visually striking and technically accurate designs.
Product Collaboration: Work closely with the Product Development team to create Product Specification Sheets, Instruction Manuals, Labels, Packaging Designs that clearly communicate product details.
Marketing Support: Collaborate with the Marketing team to design press ads, point of sale materials, display signage, and promotional materials for campaigns, trade shows, and events.
Typography & Design Fundamentals: Demonstrate expertise in design fundamentals, particularly typography, to create polished, professional, and visually appealing designs.
Print Production: Collaborate with printers and suppliers to ensure designs are accurately produced, including managing specifications, file preparation, and quality checks.
Project Management: Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and attention to detail.
Trend Awareness: Stay informed about current design trends, tools, and techniques to bring innovative ideas to the table and keep designs fresh.
Curiosity & Industry Engagement: Stay informed about SONAS products and the bathroom industry to create compelling visuals that resonate with the target audience.
Continuous Improvement: Apply creative initiative and discernment to push design boundaries, contributing innovative ideas to the team and the brand's success.
Required Skills and Experience: Education: A Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field is preferred.
However, candidates with significant professional experience in graphic design, demonstrating a strong portfolio of work, are also encouraged to apply.
Experience: 3+ years of professional graphic design experience, preferably in-house or within a similar industry, with a solid understanding of design fundamentals and typography.
Technical Skills: Expert level proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (In Design, Illustrator, Photoshop) with a proven track record of producing professional designs for both print and digital platforms.
Strong understanding of print production processes, including pre-press, colour management, and file preparation.
Experience with video editing software (Premiere Pro, After Effects) is a plus.
Knowledge of web design tools (e.g.
Adobe XD) and basic HTML/CSS is advantageous.
Other Requirements: Legally entitled to work in Ireland Fluency in English Personal Competencies: Creativity: Strong portfolio showcasing a range of design projects, with an emphasis on both print and digital design.
Initiative: Proactive approach to problem solving and generating ideas, with the ability to identify opportunities for creative improvement and take ownership of projects.
This includes staying ahead of deadlines, suggesting new approaches, and contributing innovative solutions to enhance the department's output.
Attention to Detail: Meticulous eye for design, typography, layout, and print accuracy.
Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly.
Collaboration: Comfortable working in a team environment, with the ability to take feedback and iterate designs effectively.
