Clerical Officer Grade III, Credit Control 2 Year Fixed Term Contract | 35hrs per week Bon Secours Hospital Cork is currently accepting applications for the full-time role of Clerical Officer Grade III, Credit Control.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with Ireland's largest independent hospital group, Bon Secours Health System.

Under the general direction and control of the Clerical Officer Grade V, the Clerical Officer Grade III will be responsible for the following as assigned: Ensure letters are sent for accounts due on a daily basis.

Deal with all queries arising on the debtor accounts, liaising with other departments and insurance companies.

Monitoring rescheduled accounts for any additional information on payment due.

Ensure that monthly spreadsheets from insurers are processed and balanced.

Highlight debit balances which are unrecoverable Post adjustments on outstanding balances from monthly insurance spreadsheets.

Check the monthly rejected and pended listings.

Transfer rejected claims to patients and track the pended listing which needs to be followed up with insurers periodically.

Track accounts due for payment from insurers and transfer patients from other hospitals, reprinting invoices and providing any additional information from consultants necessary for the payment of the claim.

Assist the Credit Controller in analysing patient and sundry debtor accounts Other ad hoc duties which may be assigned Person Specification: Leaving Certificate or Equivalent Relevant Administration Qualification / Relevant Third level qualification essential Hold Cert/Diploma Business Studies, Accounting Technician desirable Advanced IT qualifications is desirable Experience in Finance Department within a hospital environment is desirable Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work to strict deadlines Applications for the above post are to be submitted online to Mandy O'Sullivan, Talent Acquisition Specialist.
