As a key member of the executive team, the Director of Sales will be responsible for shaping the overall commercial strategy, driving top-line revenue, and leading a high-performing sales team across corporate, MICE, weddings, leisure, and group segments.
This is a senior leadership opportunity suited to someone with a proven track record in hotel sales leadership, deep market knowledge, and the ability to drive long-term growth in a competitive hospitality landscape.
Key Responsibilities Develop and execute a strategic sales plan aligned with the hotel's revenue goals and brand positioning.
Lead, motivate, and manage the sales team, including Wedding, Corporate, and Business Development Managers.
Identify and cultivate new business opportunities across all key segments.
Build strong relationships with corporate clients, DMCs, event planners, and travel partners.
Analyse market trends, produce forecasting reports, and make data-driven recommendations to the GM and board.
Represent the hotel at industry events, trade shows, and sales missions, both domestic and international.
Oversee key accounts, major contract negotiations, and long-term commercial partnerships.
Collaborate closely with Revenue and Marketing teams to align messaging, campaigns, and pricing strategies.
Candidate Requirements Minimum 57 years of progressive experience in hotel sales, including at least 2 years at a senior or director level.
Proven track record of delivering sustained revenue growth in a 4-star or 5-star property.
Deep understanding of the Irish hospitality market; international market exposure is a plus.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills.
Ability to manage and inspire a diverse team across multiple segments.
Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and reporting at board level.
Full clean driving licence and flexibility to travel for business development as required.
Whats on Offer Salary: 80,000+ per annum (negotiable depending on experience)
