Arcadis DPS Engineering are a seeking a Facilities Mechanical Engineer for a Pharmaceutical assignment located in Ringaskiddy, Cork.
This is initially a 12-month contract.
Responsibilities Manage end-to-end change control processes on-site.
Issue work permits and review risk assessments to ensure project safety.
Chair meetings related to daily mechanical infrastructure and ongoing projects.
Coordinate and supervise contractors for utility equipment operations.
Operate and maintain all site facilities utilities to c GMP standards (USP, EU, etc.), including black utilities (boilers, chillers, air compressors, cooling towers, generators, WWTP).
Provide technical support for equipment troubleshooting and maintenance; maintain accurate records on CMMS (SAP).
Contribute to project execution, including new product introductions, process improvements, and facility upgrades.
Ensure equipment and processes meet quality standards via validation and regulatory compliance activities.
Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, operations, maintenance, and quality teams.
Requirements Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role within manufacturing or industrial sectors, with project management exposure.
Proficiency with relevant software and tools (e.g., CAD, Meridian, SAP, validation tools).
Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
Self-motivated, well-organized, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
