The Library plays a central role in academic life by partnering with academic staff and learners to meet their teaching, learning and research needs.
The Library provides an extensive collection of print and online material and has multiple libraries across all campuses.
Following a period of sustained growth and development SETU now seeks to recruit a Liaison Librarian.
This role will have two distinct purposes: (1) to partner with the Faculty of Engineering to provide them with a tailored library service (2) to enhance the Library's role in supporting teaching, learning and research activities around SETU.
This person will be located in the Library on the Carlow campus and reports to the Head of Library and Information Services.
Hours of Work: The appointee will be required to work 35 hours per week.
Due to the nature of the role a flexible approach is required.
The role requires evening work during the academic year and Saturday work occasionally throughout the year, along with travel to all campuses and Faculty of Lifelong Learning centres.
Salary: Grade VI Salary Scale: €57,324 - €70,033 Annual Leave: 27 days.
Annual Leave will be in accordance with arrangements authorised by the Minister for Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science from time to time.
