Senior Electrical Design Engineer

We are seeking a strong Senior Electrical Design Engineer to manage and undertake design work and technical project coordination in Cork.

About the Role

The successful Electrical Engineer will be part of a busy team providing design and technical services on various project types, including Data Centre, Healthcare & Commercial developments.

  • Project Planning and Management
  • Preparation of design and contract documentation and specifications
  • Design of systems including maximum demand calculations, cable sizing, lighting, emergency lighting, fire alarm systems, ICT systems, security systems and vertical transport
  • Coordination of work and collaboration with all members of design teams
  • Estimating and Cost Control on projects
  • Compiling project reports
  • Conceptual design studies and reports
  • Mentoring and development of junior and intermediate engineers in the group
Requirements
  • Degree in Electrical Services engineering or Electrical Engineering
  • 6+ years post-qualification design experience
  • Chartered Engineer or en route to achieving chartership
  • Experience in a wide range of projects
  • Experience in mission critical projects a distinct advantage
  • Technically excellent with in-depth knowledge of relevant standards and regulations
  • Ability to deliver projects on time and within budget
  • Highly motivated, proactive and willing to take on new challenges
